About Saang Thai
Located at 47-45 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101, Saang Thai operates as a thai restaurant serving Long Island City in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Long Island City, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ4 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 433-9070. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, saangnyc.com.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 213 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded thai restaurants in Long Island City.
Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Long Island City peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

What a lovely, cozy and beautiful neighborhood spot in Long Island City! Located right on Vernon so it super easy to find. Every dish we ordered was so flavorful and delicious!! I absolutely loved the basil chicken and the pak kee mao with steak. The flavor profile was complex, had kick and just so so good!! Big bright windows that actually open up on good weather days. The floral decor is whimsical and makes you feel like you're in a beautiful garden! Lovely service, lovely experience. Definitely come check them out!

Came here for dinner and was blown away by the interior design. The ceiling is covered in beautiful flowers and lanterns, creating a very romantic and cozy atmosphere. The food was equally impressive: β’ Duck Red Curry: Rich, creamy, and the duck leg was incredibly tender. β’ Grilled Steak with Papaya Salad: The steak was perfectly charred and paired beautifully with the refreshing salad and sticky rice. β’ Shrimp Mango Salad: Fresh, vibrant, and a great appetizer. Everything from the presentation to the flavors was spot on. A perfect spot for photos and authentic Thai cuisine!

Had the loveliest lunch the other day at Saang Thai. The inside was surprisingly empty considering how delicious everything was. We ordered a few dishes to share- the portion sizes are so generous here and they donβt skimp on the proteins. Definitely come with a larger group to try many of their dishes! The flavor reminds me of comfy home cooking. Highly recommend the crab fried rice and the steak entree with pad see ew.

Absolute hidden gem in LIC! I was walking down Vernon Blvd and the aroma of authentic Thai spices pulled me right in. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Lychee Duck Curry. Iβve never had anything like itβthe sweetness of the lychee perfectly balances the spicy, rich curry, and the duck was incredibly tender. We also tried the Steak Combo Drunken Noodles. The steak portion was huge and the noodles had that perfect 'wok hei' (breath of the wok) char. For drinks, the Virgin Pina Colada was super refreshing and a great way to cool down from the spicy Pad Kra Pow. Great atmosphere, very chill vibe, and surprisingly affordable for the portion sizes in NYC! If you're looking for a legit Thai spot that doesn't just feel like another 'tourist trap,' this is it. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu! π²β¨

Amazing food, great service. We had vegetarian spring rolls and that fried rice with egg. The staff was so accommodating by helping customise our order without oyster sauce and fish oil. The coke, and food were served in clean dishes and loved the atmosphere. Would definitely visit again when in LIC.
